Kirkland Choral Society closes its 35th Anniversary Season with a triumphant return to Benaroya Hall and a fond farewell to outgoing Artistic Director Dr. Glenn Gregg. The program includes masterworks by the “Three Bs:” J.S. Bach’s glorious early cantata, Nach dir, Herr, verlanget mich; Beethoven’s sublime Choral Fantasy, with piano soloist Craig Sheppard; and Brahms’ Nänie, a soulful meditation on death with words by Friedrich Schiller. The finale of the program is the West Coast premiere of Say Your Name, a stunning new voting-rights cantata by Seattle Symphony '20-21 composer-in-residence Reena Esmail.
